"Coaching can be defined as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximise their personal and professional potential" (International Coach Federation, 2019).
You'll see I offer coaching and mentoring, so what's the difference?
Mentoring is where someone gives advice, guidance and information. In contrast, a coach acts as a 'mirror' for the person by asking challenging questions and helping them commit to specific actions to enable someone to move forward and make transformational changes in their life.

Coaching is different to counselling which focuses on the past and tries to help someone get to the root cause of issues and situations that are holding them back; coaching is always looking forward, and even though there may be barriers and obstacles in the way, coaching helps you find ways to overcome these so you can reach your goals and be more fulfilled in life.
Coaching also provides you with accountability because you will set yourself an action plan at the end of every session.

Coaching can help you gain clarity and perspective and achieve goals. We may find ourselves in difficult circumstances, so coaching can give you the headspace to navigate your way through turbulent career and life situations.
Suppose you're struggling to keep your head above water and don't know which direction or path to take in your professional or personal life. In that case, coaching can help you make the right decisions and achieve goals which currently seem unattainable.
